Raw Materials That Power Safety: The WEDO Difference

Jan 06,2025

At WEDO, safety is not just a feature—it’s our foundation. When it comes to non-sparking tools, the raw material used determines everything: the safety performance, durability, and reliability of the tool in high-risk environments. That’s why we go further than most.

To ensure absolute safety, WEDO Tools uses only imported non-ferrous and special alloys with purity levels reaching up to 99.99%. This exceptional standard eliminates the risk of impurities that could cause friction-based ignition or spark in explosive environments. While this increases production cost, it guarantees the kind of safety performance professionals can trust—even in Zone 0 or Zone 20 rated areas.

Our main materials include Beryllium Copper Alloy (Be-Cu) and Aluminum Bronze Alloy (Al-Br). Each is selected for its specific mechanical and safety properties. Beryllium Copper is exceptionally strong, spark-free, anti-magnetic, and corrosion-resistant—ideal for hydrogen-rich or sensitive environments. Aluminum Bronze, on the other hand, provides excellent tensile strength and wear resistance, making it suitable for use in oil refineries, chemical plants, coal mines, and more.

What sets WEDO apart is our commitment to precision forging using Germany’s DIN standards and 4.0 die forging technology. The result is a high-density, long-life tool that performs reliably in the most demanding conditions—without producing a single spark, even under heavy impact, drop, or abrasion.

From petrochemical industries to shipbuilding yards, and from defense applications to flour mills, WEDO Tools are at work in environments where failure is not an option. Because when safety starts with the materials, only the purest will do.
