Die Forging: Enhancing the Durability of WEDO Tools

May 30,2025

At WEDO, we understand that the strength and reliability of our tools are non-negotiable. To ensure the highest levels of quality and performance, we incorporate advanced die-forging techniques into our production process.

Once casting blanks are carefully prepared, they undergo one-time die forging using a large friction pressing machine. This critical step is precisely tailored to the dimensions of each product, ensuring outstanding strength and durability. WEDO operates a full range of large friction pressing machines with capacities from 150T to 2500T. This allows us to manufacture tools in a wide variety of sizes and specifications—from 5mm up to 210mm.

Die forging significantly improves the mechanical properties of our tools. By molding the material under high pressure, we achieve increased density—improving material structure by 15% for stronger, longer-lasting tools. It also enhances the tool’s ability to withstand rotational force, improving torque performance by 10%. In addition, the forging process boosts overall strength and resistance to wear and deformation while ensuring consistent mechanical properties across the entire product range.

This process is essential for achieving the high-performance standards WEDO tools are known for, particularly in demanding or hazardous environments. The result is a tool that not only meets but exceeds industry standards for hand tools, offering exceptional durability and long-term reliability.
